Lori Ferguson is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Colorado Mesa University, overseeing the online RN to BSN program and teaching pharmacology II. She holds an MSN from the University of Texas and additional nursing degrees from UT, Black Hills State University, and Trinity Valley Community College.
Her research focuses on supporting new nurses transitioning from academia to clinical practice. Ferguson emphasizes innovative teaching methods such as case studies, role-playing, flipped classrooms, and interactive questioning. She is passionate about mentoring nursing students and new graduates through structured preceptorship programs.
When not engaged in academic work, Ferguson enjoys outdoor photography in mountainous regions.
