Loretta Wittman is an Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of Lynchburg, affiliated with the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She holds an MALS from Hollins University and a BFA from Syracuse University. Her career spans acting, directing, choreography, and arts education, with extensive professional experience in musical theatre productions and community arts initiatives.

Research interests focus on interdisciplinary arts education, performance, and choreography in musical theatre. She has advised and mentored students through programs like the Academy of Fine Arts’ Summer Youth Theatre, where she choreographed productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie and Seussical. Active in community arts, she served on boards for Virginia Arts Presenters and Virginians for the Arts.
