Lorenzo Meseguer Luján (born 1990) is a Professor of Music and Performing Arts at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León. He specializes in classical music performance and music history, with a focus on underexplored Spanish composers of the early 20th century.
His education includes studies at the Conservatorio in Murcia, Madrid, the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has performed with prestigious orchestras such as the JONDE, Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester, and the Schleswig-Holstein Orchestral Academy. In 2014, he was selected as an Academist of the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble under Thomas Hengelbrock's mentorship.
His current project, “The Conservatory Quartets,” explores string quartets by Spanish composers like the “Group of Eight” and subsequent generations. The project combines publication of restored works, recordings (e.g., a double CD), and dissemination through concerts and masterclasses.
He received the 2024 Leonardo Fellowship to support his research, which addresses underperformed musical works and their historical context. His work bridges music performance, archival restoration, and cultural dissemination.
