Lorenzo Garcia Jr. is an Associate Professor of Classics and the Director of Graduate Studies at the University of New Mexico. His research focuses on Greek Epic and Lyric Poetry, Mythology, Cognitive and Conceptual Metaphor Theory, and Classical Reception. He has taught courses on Homer, Hesiod, Plato, Roman literature, and the intersection of ancient texts with modern film adaptations.
