معرفی
Lorenzo Di Michele is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London's Faculty of Natural Sciences. He leads the Di Michele Lab, focusing on biomimetic soft matter and DNA nanotechnology. His research combines experimental methods, theoretical modeling, and computer simulations to address fundamental and applied problems in nanoscale systems.
- Key Affiliations: CDT in Chemical Biology (supervisor), Centre for Synthetic Biology, Institute of Chemical Biology, Membrane Receptor Network, fabriCELL
Research interests include self-assembly of DNA nanostructures for drug delivery, membrane-particle interactions, artificial cells, and DNA-PAINT microscopy. His work spans biochemistry, materials engineering, and clinical applications in cardiology and physiology.
Notable fellowships include Royal Society University Research Fellowship (2018–present), Leverhulme (2016–2017), and Oppenheimer (2013–2016) fellowships. He advises the CDT in Chemical Biology program.
Labs/Teams: Director of the Di Michele Lab (website: www.dimichelelab.org), collaborating across disciplines to advance synthetic biology and nanotechnology.
