Lorenzo Codogno

Lorenzo Codogno is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe's European Economic Studies Department and a Visiting Professor in Practice at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also a Senior Fellow at the LUISS School of European Political Economy and founder/Chief Economist of LC Macro Advisors Ltd. Previously, he served as Chief Economist and Director-General at the Treasury Department of Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance (2006–2015), leading Italy's delegation at the EU's Economic Policy Committee, which he chaired from 2010 to 2011. Prior to government service, he worked at Bank of America as Managing Director and Co-Head of European Economics (1994–2006).

His research and expertise focus on macroeconomic policy, EU fiscal frameworks, and international financial markets. He advises on public finance, economic integration, and crisis management in Europe. His career bridges academia, public policy, and private-sector analysis.
