معرفی
Lorenzo Chemeri is a Research Fellow in the Department of Pure and Applied Sciences (DiSPeA) at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, Italy. His work focuses on hydrogeochemical monitoring systems with particular emphasis on seismic surveillance applications.
Dr. Chemeri's primary research interests center around hydrogeochemistry, water quality assessment, and the development of monitoring networks for seismic precursors. His work integrates isotopic analysis (C, S, O, H, B, Sr) with traditional hydrochemical methods to understand water-rock interactions and groundwater circulation patterns in seismically active regions. He has developed a three-step hydrogeochemical approach for identifying optimal sampling sites in water monitoring networks aimed at detecting potential earthquake precursors.
His publication record demonstrates a strong focus on the Pesaro-Urbino province in central Italy, a seismically active area where he has conducted extensive research on groundwater systems, dissolved gases, and their potential as seismic indicators. Recent work has also expanded to include pollution assessment in river basins like the Arno and Metauro.
Chemeri collaborates extensively with researchers including Marco Taussi, Jacopo Cabassi, and Alberto Renzulli, among others. His research has practical applications in seismic surveillance, water resource management, and environmental protection in central Italy.
