Lorena Gisler is a Research Assistant and doctoral student at the University of Lucerne’s Faculty of Law, affiliated with the Obwalden Institute for Justice Research (IJF). She holds an MLaw degree with a focus on 'Crime and Criminal Justice' and 'Dispute Resolution,' graduating summa cum laude in 2024. Since 2023, she has contributed to interdisciplinary justice research at the IJF and has been part of Prof. Dr. Anna Coninx’s chair since 2023, initially as a student assistant. In 2025, she became a lecturer teaching general criminal law at the bachelor’s level and represents the university on the Equal Opportunities Commission (GLK).
Education: Born in 2001, Gisler completed her law studies at the University of Lucerne (2020–2024), joined the Primius talent development program in 2022, and transitioned to doctoral studies in 2025. Her research focuses on criminal justice systems, legal dispute mechanisms, and equity in academic environments.
