Loren Pack is a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at Wichita State University (WSU), specializing in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on policy, school social work, and beginning social work skills. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor at WSU for 4 years and taught graduate courses at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) for 3 years. His professional experience includes a 10-year tenure as Coordinator of the Social Work Department for Wichita Public Schools, where he supervised 108 social workers, and prior roles as a therapist and coordinator in therapeutic foster care programs.
Education: Undergraduate degree in Social Work from WSU, Master's from the University of Kansas (KU). He holds an LSCSW license and has been a NASW member for 40 years.
Research interests focus on school social work practices, macro social work policy, and ethical issues in therapeutic relationships. He has developed training programs addressing abuse reporting, special education, and professional ethics, along with leading book studies on social work topics.
His career highlights include over 40 years of NASW involvement, leadership in statewide committees, and contributions to social work education through both public school systems and academia.
