Loreena Hill is an Honorary Professor at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Queen's University Belfast (QUB). She holds a PhD in Nursing from Ulster University and has held roles including Lecturer (Teaching & Research) at QUB since 2018 and Adjunct Assistant Professor at MBRU (2020–2022). Her research focuses on Heart Failure (HF), particularly advanced HF symptoms and implanted devices like ICDs. She leads the European PASSION-HF project developing e-health tools for HF self-management and contributes to regionally funded initiatives. She has published in high-impact journals and authored a position statement on palliative care integration in HF management by the European Society of Cardiology's Heart Failure Association.
- Teaching: Coordinates modules in Applied Pharmacology for Nursing Practice and Prescribing in Practice, and contributes to specialist cardiology courses.

Advising & Grants: External examiner for Trinity College Dublin's Specialist Nursing program, and a PhD external examiner. Active in international conferences and peer review. Leads interdisciplinary teams across Europe and Asia in HF research and education.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with Mitchell, Brown Wilson, and Thompson on HF care home initiatives, and with global experts in machine learning for HF outcomes.
