Loredana Polezzi is the Alfonse M. D’Amato Chair in Italian American and Italian Studies at Stony Brook University, appointed in 2020. She holds a BA from the University of Siena (Italy), and MA and PhD from the University of Warwick (UK). Her research focuses on transnational and diasporic Italian studies, travel writing, translation, and multilingual education. She has held roles at Cardiff University and Warwick, and co-founded the 'Transnational Modern Languages' book series.
