Lorayne Robertson

Lorayne Robertson is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University. She specializes in critical policy analysis of education and technology policies, educational leadership, and equity/inclusion frameworks. Previously, she held roles as Principal, Curriculum Supervisor, and District Superintendent at Thames Valley District School Board, and served as an Education Officer for Ontario's Ministry of Education. Her research explores assistive technologies, digital privacy, and poly-synchronous online learning environments.

Education Background: Holds an EdD (Doctor of Education). Research interests include technology leadership in schools, digital enablement through assistive technologies, and the intersection of policy with equity practices. She has conducted studies in Jordan, Malaysia, and India regarding educational technology applications.

Teaching: Instructs courses such as Designing Inclusive Classrooms, Equity and Diversity in Education, and Digital Literacy in the Master of Education program. Active in the Collaboratory for Policy and Leadership and the Teach Body Image and Health initiative.

Publications focus on topics like inclusive education policies, digital privacy challenges, pandemic leadership, and technology integration in diverse educational settings.
