Lonni Besançon is an Assistant Professor of Visualization at Linköping University, Sweden, serving as a 2023 ASAPBio Fellow, Scientific Node Coordinator for the Swedish National Visualization Infrastructure InfraVis, and co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Visualization and Interaction (JoVI).

Additional interests include augmented reality interfaces, collaborative visualization systems, and open science advocacy.
