Michel Andrieux is a Teacher-Researcher at Université Paris-Saclay, affiliated with the Institute of Molecular Chemistry and Materials of Orsay (ICMMO) and the Synthesis, Properties & Modeling of Materials department (SP2M). He holds dual responsibilities as Deputy Director (General Affairs) and Quality Officer at Polytech Paris-Sud since 2016, and previously led academic program coordination (2012–2016).
His research focuses on two core areas: (1) Design of nanostructured materials with controlled microstructure, including SnO₂-based electrochemical sensors and ferroelectric oxide films for integrated capacitors, and (2) Investigating microstructure-mechanical property relationships in ZrO₂ thin films under thermo-mechanical stresses. His work employs advanced techniques like MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition) and XPS characterization.
Collaborative efforts include partnerships with Uppsala University (Sweden) for oxide layer development and Université d'Évry for electrochemical grafting applications. Teaching responsibilities span elasticity, finite element methods, surface treatment, and materials selection. He has contributed to national programs like GdR OXYFUN (2014–2018) and LABEX CHARMMMAT (2012–2018), focusing on functional oxides and materials engineering.
