Dr Llwyd David Orton is a Senior Lecturer in Neurophysiology at Manchester Metropolitan University's Department of Life Sciences within the Faculty of Science & Engineering. He leads the Doctor of Clinical Science network and oversees NHS Higher Specialist Scientific Training (HSST) programs, focusing on doctoral education in healthcare science specialisms. His research emphasizes neuroanatomy, clinical neurophysiology, and open science principles, with 14 competitive grants from organizations like Action on Hearing Loss and Alzheimer’s Research UK. He has published in top-tier journals including The Journal of Neuroscience and contributed to the Oxford Handbook of the Auditory Brainstem.
