Lloyd D. Grieger is an Assistant Professor at Yale University, with appointments in Sociology and Global Affairs. He serves as the Director of Graduate Studies at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, is a Faculty Fellow of the Center for Research on Inequalities and the Life Course, and is the Resident Fellow of Grace Hopper College.
His research and teaching focus on broad areas including social demography, poverty and inequality, sociology of the family, social stratification, social welfare policy, young adulthood, and quantitative methods. He actively engages in interdisciplinary studies that bridge sociology with global affairs, emphasizing empirical approaches to understanding societal structures and dynamics.
