Llorenç Melis Sanchez

Llorenç Melis Sanchez serves as a Lecturer in the Physics Department at the University of the Balearic Islands, holding a teaching assistant position in Astronomy and Astrophysics while completing doctoral studies. He teaches physics courses across multiple degree programs including Biochemistry, Physics, and Engineering disciplines.

His research centers on solar physics with specific focus on energy balance mechanisms in solar prominences through Alfvén wave heating processes. This work bridges astrophysics, plasma physics, and magnetohydrodynamics within the context of solar atmospheric phenomena.

Current teaching responsibilities include Physics for the Biochemistry degree program (2024-2026 academic years).
