Lizzie Wright is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Fellow and Research Fellow in BioArCh at the University of York. Her work focuses on zooarchaeology and prehistoric human-animal interactions, particularly cattle domestication and husbandry. She holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield (2014) and has conducted extensive research in Europe, including projects funded by the EU and the Archaeological Institute of America.

- Prehistoric cattle domestication
- Zooarchaeological methodologies integrating biomolecular techniques
- Early modern animal baiting practices
- Rewilding and historical treescapes
Current Projects:
- CatCoW (Corded Ware Culture cattle analysis)
- Box Office Bears (early modern bear-baiting studies)
- CASTOR (ecological rewilding modeling)
Awards: Two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (LAKEBOS & CatCoW). Serves as Secretary of the International Council of Archaeozoology (ICAZ).
