Dr. Liz Whelen is a Chartered Health Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester, serving as Undergraduate Programme Director for the BSc Psychology degree. With professional experience in the NHS and prior academic appointments at Liverpool Hope University and University of Liverpool, she is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Educational background includes:

- MPhil and MA from University of Liverpool
- BA in Psychology and Mathematics from University of Liverpool

- Chronic illness patient experiences
