Liz Maria Chacko serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law and Senior Counsel at the National Women’s Law Center, advancing gender equity through the Legal Network for Gender Equity and Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. With over 15 years at Justice at Work (Pennsylvania), she represented employees on employment and immigration matters while leading advocacy initiatives as Deputy Director.
She earned her law degree from Boston College, where she edited the Journal of Law and Social Justice, and her undergraduate degree from New York University as a Phi Beta Kappa graduate.
Her research and practice prioritize:
- Workplace Gender Equity and Legal Defense Systems
- Intersectional Employment and Immigration Law
- Survivor-Centered Advocacy for Domestic Violence and Sexual Harassment Cases
- Trauma-Informed Client Representation Models
Chacko began her career defending immigrant survivors of interpersonal violence and continues championing client-centered legal frameworks, emphasizing systemic change through state-wide worker engagement and organizational leadership.
