Liz Hejny is an Instructor at The Ohio State University, specializing in 3D animation, Visual Effects (VFX), and design education. She holds a B.A. in Computer Art, Computer Animation, and Visual Effects from the School of Visual Arts, a B.S. in Health Information Management from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MFA in Digital Animation and Interactive Media from The Ohio State University's Design program.
Her design expertise spans 3D animation, VFX, interactive media, and motion graphics. Prior to academia, she worked for five years in the feature film and commercial industries as a VFX and design generalist, contributing to projects like The Orville: New Horizons, Evil: Season 3, and commercials for brands such as Chevy, Google, and Samsung.
Liz focuses on bridging industry experience with educational practices, aiming to mentor future artists and storytellers. Her professional portfolio includes work in film, advertising, and interactive media, reflecting her passion for blending technical skill with creative narrative.
