Liz Borkowski is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University. She serves as Managing Director of the Jacobs Institute of Women's Health and Managing Editor of the peer-reviewed journal Women's Health Issues. With GW since 2006, her roles include advising on research writing and guest lecturing in courses such as Maternal and Child Health and Reproductive Health. She holds an MPH from George Washington University (2013) and a BA in English from the University of Delaware (1998).
Her research focuses on reproductive health policy, scientific integrity in federal governance, and occupational health. Past work includes studies on abortion policy, paid sick leave, and pharmaceutical marketing impacts in Washington, D.C. Borkowski contributes to The Pump Handle, a public health blog, and collaborates with the GW Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges policy analysis with clinical practice to advance equitable healthcare access.
