Livia Manzella is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology at the University of Catania. Her academic and professional roles span research, teaching, and clinical training. She has contributed to studies on transcription factors (IRF1, BCR-ABL) in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and gene regulation in monocytic cells.

Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms in leukemias, cancer genetics, and clinical pathology applications. She has taught Clinical Pathology since 2009 across multiple degree programs, including Medicine, Dentistry, and Biomedical Laboratory Techniques.
Scientific awards include an AIRC fellowship. She has also pursued oncology training at the Policlinico Vittorio Emanuele University Hospital since 2012.
