- MA, Courtauld Institute of Art
- PhD (AHRC-funded), University of York
Her research focuses on the intersection of artistic and architectural practice in late medieval and early Renaissance Italy (c. 1300–1500), particularly on painted architecture, design and craftsmanship, the emergence of the architect as a professional, and the reception of classical antiquity. She explores how architecture was represented and used in paintings to shape identity, authority, and narrative, with attention to cultural exchanges between Italy and the Ottoman Empire.
Her recent publications include the monograph Painting Architecture in Early Renaissance Italy (2024) and contributions to exhibition catalogues on Michelangelo, Titian, and Sebastiano del Piombo. The articles in her body of work reveal a consistent engagement with architectural rhetoric, fictive space, craftsmanship, and transmedial practices in Renaissance art, often analyzing major fresco cycles and painter-architect figures.

She is the curator of the digital exhibition Beyond the Painter-Architect: Artists Reinventing Architecture in Renaissance Italy at the Sir John Soane Museum, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to art, architecture, and cultural history.
