Her recent studies investigate the impact of social capital on health outcomes and the effects of policies on vulnerable populations. She has contributed to policy evaluations and mixed-method studies analyzing how social structures influence individual and community well-being.
Her key research interests include: 1) legal frameworks governing mental health care, 2) socio-spatial dimensions of social sustainability, 3) implementation challenges in public health initiatives, and 4) the ethical implications of compulsory care systems. She has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams on projects funded by organizations like Allmänna arvsfonden.
Zetterberg’s publications analyze topics such as the implementation of Sweden’s open compulsory psychiatric care (Öppen Psykiatrisk Tvångsvård), the role of social capital in urban planning, and the societal impacts of the pandemic on community support networks. Her work often bridges legal, sociological, and public health perspectives to propose evidence-based policy solutions.
