Liv Penrose Punnett is a Lecturer in Fine Art at the University of Sheffield Hallam, affiliated with the College of Social Sciences and Arts and the Culture and Creativity Research Institute. She holds roles as a curator and consultant, notably at Nottingham Contemporary Gallery and as Director of Haarlem Artspace in Derbyshire. Her work focuses on contemporary art’s intersection with feminism, technology, and environmentalism, emphasizing ‘poetical science’ through curatorial practices.
Research interests include exploring relational ethics in art and technology via projects like A Poetical Science: Exploring Art, Feminism and Technology, addressing marginalized contributions of women in these fields. She has collaborated with institutions including The National Trust, Artes Mundi Wales, and Arusha Gallery.
Notable awards include the AHRC Award and Jonathan Ruffer Curatorial Award. Her work is archived at the Bibliothèque Nationale (Paris), Tate Library, and Ruskin Archive. Liv is a member of The Climate History Network, Higher Education Academy, and Culture Action Europe.
