Keith Wilson is a Research Professor of Sculpture at the University of Sheffield Hallam, based in the Department of Art and Design within the College of Social Sciences and Arts. His work focuses on public art that interrogates power dynamics and spatial agency, blending abstract ideas with material form. He holds a BFA from the Ruskin School of Art (Oxford University) and an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art (UCL), supported by the Laura Ashley Scholarship and a Boise Travel Award. His research and curatorial leadership have shaped collaborative creative practices in the ADMRC, emphasizing interdisciplinary and community-driven projects.
Wilson’s academic service includes roles as External Examiner for Ulster University’s MFA, leadership in REF submissions, and contributions to the University’s Levelling Up Fund initiatives. His professional service spans trustee roles at Camden Arts Centre, Whitechapel Gallery, and Art House Foundation, alongside advisory roles in cultural forums. Notable exhibitions include 'Steles' (Olympic Park, 2012) and 'Calendar' (MAC Belfast, 2016), which explore the interplay between private studio processes and public sculptural presentation.
