Dr. Liubin Yang is an Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. She holds dual board certifications in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her research focuses on gene therapy for primary ovarian insufficiency (POI), ovarian aging mechanisms, and genetic determinants of reproductive disorders, integrating machine learning to improve clinical outcomes in fertility treatments.
Education: MD and PhD in Molecular and Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine, followed by residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility at Baylor. Undergraduate degree in Biology from Yale University.
Research interests span reproductive medicine innovations, including AI-driven embryo selection and epigenetic studies (e.g., DNMT3A’s role in leukemia and ovarian function). She collaborates with the Jiang Lab and contributes to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Program. Awards include the NIH K12 WRHR Scholar (2023) and McKern Scholar (2024).
Publications emphasize machine learning applications in reproductive outcomes, epigenetic cancer mechanisms, and prenatal programming of PCOS. Clinical specialties include fertility treatments and complex gynecological care.
