Lissy Langer is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Energy Economics and Modelling group at the Department of Technology, Management and Economics (DTU), Technical University of Denmark. Her work centers on renewable energy systems, climate policy, and sustainable infrastructure development with direct contributions to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Her research spans renewable energy economics, hydrogen infrastructure modeling, and emissions accounting frameworks. Key focus areas include renewable fuel value chains, policy effectiveness of renewable energy certificates, and macro-energy systems modeling for climate neutrality. She employs interdisciplinary approaches combining engineering systems analysis with economic policy evaluation.
Current research trends show strong emphasis on hydrogen infrastructure integration (particularly in Nordic contexts), market-based accounting for Scope 2 emissions, and systems-level perspectives for low-carbon electricity procurement. Her publications demonstrate methodological rigor in energy system modeling with practical policy applications.
Langer actively supervises PhD candidates and contributes to major research projects including Energy system modelling of renewable fuel value chains (2024-2027) and Rally to the Valley: Establishing Hydrogen Value Chains for the Nordics (2023-2026). Her work receives significant attention in academic and policy circles, with multiple publications in high-impact journals.
