Lison Malo is an astronomer and leader of the Instrument Development Group at the Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic (OMM) and the Institut de recherche sur les exoplanètes (iREx), University of Montreal. She manages the NIRPS and SPIRou projects and coordinates instrument development for the Mont-Mégantic Observatory (VROOMM). She holds a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Montreal (2013), focusing on statistical methods to identify young low-mass stars in the solar neighborhood.
Between 2014–2017, she worked as a resident astronomer at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT), preparing observations with instruments like WIRCam, MegaCam, and ESPaDOnS. She led the GRACES project, developing the OPERA data reduction program to analyze photons from Gemini North via a 270-meter optical fiber.
Her research interests include identifying young stars, characterizing host star parameters, and studying binary systems. She contributes to exoplanet research through instrument development for SPIRou and NIRPS. She is based at the Université de Montréal, addressing B-3438, 1375 Av Thérèse-Lavoie-Roux, Montreal, QC H2V 0B3, Canada.
