Lise Bjerke is a Doctoral Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Department of Community Medicine and Global Health and the Centre for Global Sustainability. She works on antibiotic trade dynamics between India and Africa through the FAR project and contributes to SCANVAX's research on Scandinavian vaccine diplomacy during the pandemic.

Her research spans medical anthropology, global health, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), focusing on pharmaceutical trade networks, antibiotic regulation, and historical geographies of medicine. She also explores food security and migration in India.
Recent publications analyze antibiotic export practices, trade disputes, and access to medicines. Key themes include sustainability, global health governance, and South-South cooperation.
