Lisa Walker is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Psychology at Carleton University, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She serves as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Ottawa Hospital and a Clinician Investigator with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Walker co-leads the Neurodegeneration Pillar and Multiple Sclerosis Research Group at the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute.
Her research focuses on cognitive health in individuals with multiple sclerosis, particularly cognitive fatigability, stem cell therapy impacts, longitudinal cognition assessment, and biomarker relationships. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Windsor.
Her work emphasizes translational research bridging clinical practice and scientific investigation, with a focus on improving cognitive outcomes for MS patients through innovative assessment methodologies and therapeutic interventions.
