Lisa Thomas is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University's Department of Psychology, specializing in the intersection of psychology and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She chairs the Psychology Department's Athena Swan team, focusing on promoting gender equality. Her academic journey includes a BA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Sheffield (2004), an MSc in Environmental Psychology from the University of Surrey (2006), and a PhD from Northumbria University (2011), exploring Location-Based Services (LBS) adoption models.
Her research interests span technologies in life transitions, digital identity management, student wellbeing, and qualitative methods.
