Lisa Teot

Lisa Teot, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and serves as Staff Pathologist and Director of Cytology in the Department of Pathology at Boston Children’s Hospital. She specializes in pediatric cytopathology, bone tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, and molecular diagnostics. Her clinical work supports both local and international institutions through diagnostic and consultative services.

Dr. Teot’s research focuses on pediatric cancer pathology, particularly rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, and osteosarcoma. Her work examines diagnostic criteria, prognostic markers, and genomic alterations in these tumors, often in collaboration with the Children’s Oncology Group.

Recent publications highlight her contributions to understanding TP53 mutations in anaplastic rhabdomyosarcoma, WNT signaling aberrations in germ cell tumors, and metabolic response assessment in sarcomas. She also investigates molecular testing strategies for thyroid neoplasms and the role of cytokines in bone metastasis.
