Dr. Lisa Shoaf is an Assistant Professor of Education and Associate Dean of Professional Studies at John Carroll University, where she has served for more than two decades. Previously a school administrator in Lake County, she now teaches courses in teacher preparation and educational leadership while actively training Ohio school principals and superintendents on the state’s teacher and principal evaluation systems.

- Ph.D. in Educational Leadership – Kent State University
Research Interests
Dr. Shoaf’s scholarship focuses on educational leadership, school improvement, teacher and principal evaluation, and professional development. Her work explores how effective leadership and evidence-based evaluation systems can foster continuous school improvement and strengthen community engagement.
