Lisa Schnell is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Vermont. She holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University (1989). Her expertise spans Renaissance literature, Shakespearean studies, 17th-century British literature, biblical literature, critical theory, and women's studies. She teaches courses such as *Bible as Literature*, *Milton: Paradise Lost*, and *Shakespeare & Renaissance Drama*.

Her research interests focus on intersections of gender, narrative, and textual analysis in early modern literature. She has been recognized with prestigious teaching awards, including the Kroepsch-Maurice Teaching Award (2008) and the Outstanding Faculty Woman Award (2007).
