Professor Lisa Scharoun is a multi-award-winning academic, designer, and researcher specializing in Visual Communications and Cross-cultural Design. She holds a PhD from Griffith University and currently leads the School of Design at QUT. Her career spans roles as Program Director at Deakin University, University of Canberra, and visiting professorships in Singapore and Norway. Key research focuses include healthcare design, transdisciplinary education, and cross-cultural design practices. She has pioneered initiatives like the Cross-cultural Design Lab and contributed to global projects such as the Gates Foundation's vaccination monitoring system.
