Lisa Ranfos is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire's Department of Human Development and Family Studies. With 25 years of experience in early childhood education, she transitioned from classroom teaching to leadership roles focusing on program quality and culture. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Plymouth State University and a Master's in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College.
Her research emphasizes child observation-based curriculum design and workforce development initiatives. Since 2005, she has worked in lab school environments to foster interactions between children, families, and educators. Dr. Ranfos has secured funding for projects like the Granite Steps program and NH Child Care Workforce initiatives through the NH Department of Health & Human Services.
She teaches courses including Child Development Internship, Curriculum for Young Children, and Practicum. Beyond academia, she participates in state-level committees to enhance early childhood education policies. Her professional activities include roles as Executive Director at the Child Study & Development Center and leadership in local educational initiatives.
