Lisa R. LaMarre Wilmot serves as Part-Time Faculty and Dance Recruitment Coordinator at Wayne State University, bridging artistic practice, research, and community engagement through dance. Her work centers on integrating dance into educational and public spheres while exploring identity and social connection.

Wilmot specializes in Dance Education and Community Dance, with research examining teaching artists' roles in postsecondary settings. She creates performance-based responsive artwork that brings dance into everyday environments, investigating the human body's relationship to community sites and sounds through embodied practice.
Her honors include the Presidential Scholar award. She received a seed grant for ArtPrize 7 for "They Were Displaced...And Again" and has produced over 100 original performances and dance films.
