Lisa Perkins

Lisa Perkins serves as a Visiting Professor of Telecommunications at the University of Suffolk and Director of Adastral Park and Research Realisation for BT's Technology division. She spearheads the development of a world-class technology ecosystem at Adastral Park, driving innovation in home entertainment and smart technologies while collaborating with industry partners to solve business challenges. Her leadership extends to chairing Tech East, co-chairing the University of Suffolk DigiTech Centre, and holding board positions with Productivity East, New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, and East Suffolk Council Community Partnership Board.

Her research focuses on Telecommunications, Innovation Management, and Smart Technologies, emphasizing downstreaming research into real-world business solutions. She actively cultivates university partnerships to develop premier technical expertise and promotes technology education through school enrichment programs to nurture future industry talent.

Perkins leads Innovation Martlesham—a dynamic cluster of 150+ companies—and directs research initiatives in home entertainment systems and industrial smart technologies. Her work bridges academic research with commercial applications, fostering regional economic growth through the New Anglia LEP and Tech East networks.
