Lisa Passaglia Bauman is a Professor in the Department of Art History at George Mason University, specializing in Renaissance art and patronage studies. With a PhD from Northwestern University, she focuses on the political and rhetorical dimensions of architectural patronage in late fifteenth-century Rome, particularly among the della Rovere family. She has held teaching roles at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern University, and currently co-directs Mason's study abroad programs in Italy, France, and the UK.
