Lisa Okada Sparks

Lisa Okada Sparks is a full-time Lecturer and Graduate Internship Coordinator in the Department of Health Science at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), where she has taught since 2003. She specializes in courses such as HSC 402, 425, 435, and 485. Her professional roles include evaluation consulting for local organizations in Los Angeles, Orange counties, and Long Beach since 1999, collaborating with law enforcement, judicial groups, education systems, public health departments, and minority-based organizations.

Education: She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health from CSULB and an Ed.D. from Azusa Pacific University. Her expertise spans tobacco prevention, underage drinking prevention, nutrition, and physical activity, focusing on community health education and policy advocacy.
