Lisa McCormick

Lisa McCormick, Ph.D., MPH is a Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Academics and Practice at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health, with secondary appointments in the School of Medicine and School of Health Professions. She earned a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from UAB, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi.

• Current roles include Senior Scientist for the UAB Social Science and Justice Research Consortium and Director of the DrPH in Preparedness Leadership program

• Community Engagement: Addressing social determinants of health and environmental justice

Her 15 most recent publications (2021-2025) demonstrate expertise in public health training centers, disaster preparedness simulations, IPC systems, and workforce development. Grants include National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences funding for arsenical research and CDC ELC Cooperative Agreement projects.
