معرفی
Lisa Leinhos is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford affiliated with two specialized research groups:
- Gehmlich group: Investigating biomechanical stress signalling in the heart and its role in cardiomyopathies
- Wilkie Group: Focused on Clinical Genetics
She holds a PhD and conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of cardiology and genetics, with primary emphasis on cardiomyopathy mechanisms, cardiac biomechanics, and molecular genetic pathways. Her methodology centers on gene-edited mouse models to dissect disease etiology, particularly titin-related cardiac disorders.
Her 2021 publication in Basic Research in Cardiology exemplifies her approach, using CRISPR-modified mouse models to analyze how titin missense variants disrupt cardiac function through biomechanical stress pathways. This work contributes to understanding genotype-phenotype relationships in inherited heart diseases.
She actively collaborates within both research groups to advance knowledge of genetic cardiomyopathies, combining clinical genetics with biomechanical analysis to identify therapeutic targets for heart failure conditions.
