Lisa J. Maione

Lisa J. Maione is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI), currently on sabbatical for 2024–2025. Her creative practice explores the screen as a material and perceptual mode, focusing on relationships between images, reading, and memory.

Education:

Creative Practice:

• Co-founder of For Instance LLC, an award-winning collaborative studio
• Projects include AfterTaste, ArtBreak & OSUGD, EX-CHANGE 2023, Handiwork Identity, and Rookie mag lettering

• Nationally/internationally exhibited (New York, Korea, Netherlands, etc.)
• Teaching experience at Parsons, CUNY, RISD, MICA, and Oklahoma State University since 2008
