Lisa Gezon is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She specializes in cultural anthropology with a focus on health, environment, and social justice. Her research spans topics such as political ecology, degrowth, and critical medical anthropology, with fieldwork in Madagascar, Guatemala, and the U.S.
