Lisa Fenn

Lisa Fenn is a Senior Lecturer in PGCE Primary and Early Years at the Cardiff School of Education & Social Policy, Cardiff Metropolitan University. With nearly 20 years of teaching experience across Primary ages (3-11), she specialized in Mathematics, Physical Education, and ICT as a classroom teacher. She holds a BA (Hons) with QTS (1999) and a Master’s in Leadership and Management (2006).

• Previously served as Mathematics Advisory Teacher for a Local Authority, supporting 26 primary and 4 high schools.
• Contributed to Wales Government initiatives to improve Mathematics standards and Estyn inspection preparations.
• Current roles include mentoring PGCE/GTP students, delivering lectures in Science, Mathematics, and Knowledge and Understanding of the World, and leading the TAPS Cymru Science assessment research project.

Research focuses on teacher training, pedagogical strategies, and educational assessment tools. Notably nominated for a 2016 teaching fellowship, her work emphasizes practical applications in classroom innovation and teacher development.
