Cheryl Anthony is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director for the BA(Hons) Early Years Education and Professional Practice with Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS) at the Cardiff School of Education & Social Policy, Cardiff Metropolitan University. She joined the institution in 2004 as a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics and Education after 13 years in primary education as a class teacher and Deputy Head Teacher.
Her research focuses on primary mathematics, ICT in education, and early years pedagogy, with a specific emphasis on diversity, equity, and equality. Her PhD (2021) examined Key Stage 2 pupils' perceptions of how ICT facilitates learning in primary mathematics.
