Lisa Faircloth Kelly is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Literacy Studies at the University of South Florida's College of Education. With over 30 years of experience in education, she teaches undergraduate and graduate teacher education courses.
- Education: B.A. in English (Wake Forest University), M.Ed. in Secondary Education (University of North Florida), Ph.D. in Reading Education (Texas Woman’s University)
Her research focuses on developmental readers, students with dyslexia, and reading assessments. She co-created the course Supporting Students with Disabilities in Literacy: Dyslexia and Other Reading Difficulties through the USF Anchin Center. Dr. Kelly has presented at conferences including the Rose Spicola Forum in Literacy Learning and TexTESOL, and received the 2022-2023 Excellence in Undergraduate Education Award for her contributions to teacher education.
