Lisa Chang Lee is a multimedia artist and curator affiliated with the Royal College of Art (RCA), where she serves as an Associate Lecturer in the MA Photography program. She holds a BA in Fine Art Printmaking from the Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing (2010), and an MA in Print from the RCA (2014, distinction).
Her research explores cross-cultural connections between Asian philosophy/aesthetics and contemporary issues, emphasizing humanity-nature interdependence through multimedia installations, sound, and sensory technology. Current projects include collaborations with the Zoological Society of London on Hainan Island’s endangered indigenous culture and environmental coexistence, resulting in the 'South of the Sea' installation.
Award highlights include the 2020 Jerwood Printmaking Today Prize shortlist, 2019 Seoul Biennale Artist Film Prize runner-up, and multiple recognitions in global art competitions. Exhibitions span venues like Ginkgo Space (Beijing), Seoul Biennale, and the Visions Moving Image Biennale (London).
External roles include Visiting Lecturer at Sichuan Fine Art Institute and former Associate Curator at the China Academy of Art. Projects often bridge art, ecology, and conservation, reflecting a commitment to interdisciplinary practice.
